YICT holds Logistics Platform roadshow in Chongqing

On 31 May 2013, YICT collaborated with the Logistics Office of the Chongqing Municipality and the Transport Committee of Shenzhen Municipality to hold a Logistics Platform roadshow in Chongqing. The roadshow promoted Chongqing-Yantian intermodal services to liners, 3PLs, cargo owners and importers, attracting approximately 150 attendees. Xu Xiaoyang, Deputy Managing Director of YICT, introduced the company and its intermodal services to the guests.

The Chongqing-Yantian rail service starts at Tuanjie Village in Chongqing and terminates at YICT. With a single journey taking 53 hours, it provides an efficient and safe logistics solution for manufacturers in Chongqing to ship their cargoes via rail to Yantian for export.

Since its launch in April 2010, the service has been increased from once to six times a week to meet growing demand. It is now the leading rail-sea transportation link out of Chonqqing in terms of cargo volume and number of weekly services.

The Logistics Platform provides a gateway connecting Chongqing and southwest China to the rest of the world. With approximately 100 weekly services and the seamless rail-sea transportation service, YICT has become the No. 1 choice for IT manufacturers in Chongqing to ship their cargoes abroad in an efficient, cost-effective and eco-friendly manner.
