YANTIAN’S INLAND PORT IN GANZHOU LAUNCHES A NEW SERVICE

On 30 October 2019, a ceremony to launch “Ocean Network Express (ONE) Inland Depot in Ganzhou” was held at YANTIAN’s inland port in Ganzhou, which is a new service aimed at facilitating carriers and cargo owners. Approximately 40 representatives from related government departments of Ganzhou, Yantian Port Group, carriers and cargo owners attended the event.

YANTIAN’s inland port in Ganzhou is operated by Shenzhen Pingyan Multimodal Company Limited (PML). In July 2019, PML reached a cooperation agreement with ONE to establish an empty container depot in Ganzhou.

After the launch of the inland depot, shippers can now pick up empty containers at the Ganzhou International Port, and return empty import containers to the depot after unloading them. This saves them time and cost of trucking them back to YANTIAN.

YANTIAN is committed to the development of intermodal service, which is a green model of transportation. Pingyan Railway, YANTIAN’s on-dock rail facility, interfaces with China’s major railway network and enables the port to provide one-stop logistics services to China’s vast inland areas. Ganzhou International Port Phase I offers seamless logistics connections between Shenzhen and Ganzhou, serving as a green and efficient gateway for inbound and outbound container traffic of the two cities.
