From July 30 to August 4, a series of events related to cross-border e-commerce were staged in Yantian District, offering considerable opportunities for cross-border e-commerce elites around the world. As a key gateway for import and export trade in South China and Honorary President Organization of Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association (SZCBEA) Yantian Branch, YANTIAN yielded a plenty of highlights during these 120 hours.
Be eager to try in the pursuit of excellence
All along, YANTIAN has been actively engaging in the development of cross-border e-commerce, upgrading supporting services at the port, and fully empowering the implementation of development measures for cross-border e-commerce. In 2022, Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of YANTIAN, was entitled "Senior Advisor of the Logistics Committee" by the SZCBEA and enlisted in the Expert List of SZCBEA Standardization Committee. This has laid a solid foundation for YANTIAN to provide quality and convenient port services to the industry and facilitate a sustainable cross-border e-commerce in China.

Testament to strength with two awards
On July 31, 2023 Global Cross-border E-commerce Festival and Shenzhen International Cross-border E-commerce Trade Expo, under the theme of culture going global and intelligent development, was grandly opened. In the 6th Cross-border E-commerce Festival Pre-exhibition Welcome Dinner, YANTIAN won the "Role Model Power" award, which was presented by Long Yongtu, Chairman of Center for China and Globalization (CCG), former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Co-Chairman of the Global CEO Development Conference, and former Secretary General of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia, to Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of YANTIAN, affirming YANTIAN's strength and influence within the industry, and encouraging people of YANTIAN to take on greater responsibility.

Cultural exchange and Chinese brands going global
YANTIAN has always been supporting cultural exchange and Chinese brands going global. As the preferred port for cross-border e-commerce in South China, we were more than pleased to accommodate the visits from the foreign missions (Pakistan government, French Consulate, Netherlands Business Support Office, and enterprises from Ethiopia) attending the Shenzhen International Cross-border E-commerce Trade Expo. On August 1, we invited these delegations to visit Yantian Port to showcase the development of cross-border e-commerce in China, enhance mutual understanding and trust, and accelerate exchanges and communication between Chinese enterprises and key organizations in overseas markets for high-quality cross-border e-commerce.

A bite of the world
On the evening of August 2, 2023 Yantian Cross-Border Food Festival kicked off, which presented specialties from Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States, including Malaysia Musang Kings durians, Russian red king crab, and Spanish red wine. As a natural deep-water port and the last port of call for mega-vessels in China, YANTIAN has extensive shipping networks and robust cold chain resource support. It is able to deliver Chinese brands to all over the world and bring a variety of global products to China, contributing to the improvement of Chinese people's quality of life.

Policy and financial support
On August 4, under the guidance of the People's Bank of China Shenzhen Central Sub-branch, Shenzhen Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, YANTIAN assisted the Yantian District People's Government of Shenzhen and the Shenzhen Branch of Bank of China in organising the first briefing on "Shenzhen's 24 Articles on Financial Support for Foreign Trade", in which YANTIAN's finance and legal services team participated and Gary Fong,Finance & Legal Director delivered a speech. YANTIAN will secure the "last kilometre" of these policies to facilitate their implementation in districts and enterprises, allowing finance to better serve the real economy.
