If there is one thing that not only benefits the present, but also the future, the answer must be education, especially the Project Hope.

In Shenzhen, 1,500 kilometers away from Yunnan Province, there is a group of people who care a lot about the school in Yunnan, that is, the Dahaicun Hope Primary School.

As early as 2003, YANTIAN donated funds to build the Dahaicun Hope Primary School in Dahaizi Village, Shilin County, Yunnan Province. Over the past 20 years, YANTIAN has funded the construction of the campus, set up scholarships and grants, and invited school teachers to Shenzhen to study and further improve their skills. Moreover, we hold summer camps every year to allow outstanding children to go out of the mountains and see the wonderful world outside.

Seaside Tour

On August 8, the summer camp of 2023 kicked off. Students were dressed in their ethnic costumes, excitedly waiting for this colourful journey to begin.

Representatives of outstanding students and teachers made speeches, followed by a donation ceremony with the theme of "Making the best use of what you have to brighten the future", in which YANTIAN donated laptops and various daily necessities to enable these children to live and study better.

Children of YANTIAN staff also participated in the first day's activities of the summer camp. From all these lovely faces and talented minds, we saw the sprout of youth and vigor.

"Developing in the society and giving back to the society" has always been the motto of YANTIAN to fulfill our social responsibility.

We prepared a rich and meaningful itinerary for these children, including visiting museums, enjoying historical exhibitions, riding the Ferris wheel, and choosing books and stationery. They studied together with their peers, experienced the popular city walk, and marvelled at the charm of Yantian Port.

This year marks the 20th year of YANTIAN's sponsorship of the Dahaicun Hope Primary School and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of YANTIAN.  With twenty years of persistence, the light of Project Hope is like the waves on Yantian Port's seashore, conveying love and care. We will keep supporting Project Hope to drive educational equity, and to help students in less developed areas broaden their horizons, pursue excellence for a bright and brilliant future.
