YANTIAN won two prestigious awards and was the only port to secure the cross-border e-commerce project award
YANTIAN has recently achieved outstanding recognition, becoming the only port to receive the Annual Overseas Impact Award from the SZCBEA. Adding to this distinction, YANTIAN was honoured with two prestigious awards at the Convention Between Carriers and Ports for Ocean Alliance 2025: the Global Operational Efficiency Excellence Award and the Intelligent and Green Partnership Award (Cross-Border E-commerce Project). These accolades not only highlight YANTIAN’s exceptional service efficiency but also affirm our pivotal role in driving the growth and transformation of the cross-border e-commerce industry.
How does YANTIAN drive high-quality development in cross-border e-commerce?
In 2024, global e-commerce sales hit US$6.3 trillion, with China’s cross-border e-commerce sector showing strong momentum. China’s cross-border e-commerce trade volume reached CNY2.63 trillion in 2024, marking a 10.8% year-on-year growth. On a global scale, e-commerce centres on China, and within China, Shenzhen leads the way. During the first 11 months of 2024, Shenzhen’s cross-border e-commerce trade volume grew by 19% year-on-year, surpassing the national average and achieving record-breaking figures. As the top city in the number of global sellers on Amazon, Shenzhen has solidified its position as the "Centre of Cross-Border E-commerce."
Lawrence Shum was invited to share insights into YANTIAN’s advancements in green logistics and cross-border e-commerce, as well as the challenges and opportunities arising in this new era of industry growth.
