#APEC China Year, Shenzhen in Action Riding the momentum of APEC China Year, YANTIAN has further expanded its global shipping network with the launch of a new Indonesia service, following the successful introduction of direct services to Thailand and Cambodia earlier this year. Looking ahead, YANTIAN will continue to build more "maritime expressways," particularly by enhancing efficient connectivity with APEC economies. Through reliable, efficient, and resilient logistics services, YANTIAN is committed to supporting industrial and supply chains across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, helping enterprises navigate uncertainties in global trade and logistics.

On June 8, under the supervision of Dapeng Customs, a subordinate office of Shenzhen Customs, the maiden voyage of the newly launched South China–Java Express (SCJX) successfully called at Yantian Port in Shenzhen and immediately commenced cargo-handling operations. The new service provides direct connections between key South China ports—including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Xiamen—and Indonesia's two major ports, Jakarta and Surabaya. Following the launch of the South China–Thailand–Cambodia Express (CSX) in March, SCJX marks another international service linking Yantian Port with APEC member economies, further strengthening the Greater Bay Area's connectivity with APEC economies and global markets.

On June 8, the vessel WANTAI 2620S, operating the maiden voyage of the newly launched SCJX, completed its berthing at Yantian Port in Shenzhen.

"We have observed the continued growth trend in intra-Asian trade. Since the beginning of this year, we have been optimising the APEC regional service network, consecutively launching two new services—CSX and SCJX—while improving sailing frequency and port turnaround efficiency to provide customers with more stable and cost-effective logistics options," said Wen Jun, Manager of the Shenzhen Branch of X-Press Feeders (China). "From service planning to maiden voyage support, the customs authorities have provided substantial assistance in areas such as customs policy interpretation and facilitation measures, which has strengthened our confidence in serving customers and expanding the market."

As the benefits of APEC cooperation continue to materialise, "Made in China" is accelerating its reach into the Asia-Pacific and its integration into global markets. Statistics show that from January to May this year, Chinese mainland enterprises imported and exported CNY395.8 billion worth of cargoes with other APEC economies via Yantian Port, accounting for more than half of the port's total foreign trade value during the same period. Key imports included natural gas, plastic products, and machinery and equipment, while exports included machinery and equipment, furniture and lighting products, toys, and others.

"We are fully committed to supporting enterprises as they expand into APEC markets by promoting preferential policies for Advanced Certified Enterprises and referential rules of origin, while also improving customs clearance efficiency through regulatory models such as 'shipside loading' and 'inspect before loading'," said Zhong Yang, Section Chief of the Monitoring Section at Dapeng Customs. Since the beginning of this year, Dapeng Customs has supported Yantian Port in adding seven new international shipping services, further densifying its service network. Yantian Port now offers 100 weekly services connecting to destinations worldwide.

Shenzhen Customs will continue to rely on smart supervision technologies, strengthen coordination with shipping lines and terminals, and proactively support the efficient operation of APEC-related services, helping more "Made in China" products reach the Asia-Pacific and the world from the Greater Bay Area.
