Notice on Export Laden Container Gate-in Arrangements at YANTIAN
A A A 缩小 加大 更大

Recently, a combination of factors, including frequent typhoons, the peak shipping season, and ongoing tensions in the Middle East, together with widespread congestion at ports across China, has further disrupted vessel schedules, with some vessels experiencing significant delays. At YANTIAN, slower turnover and steadily increasing yard density continue to put considerable pressure on terminal operations.

YANTIAN's Arrangements for Export Laden Container Gate-in

To maintain smooth and efficient port operations, YANTIAN will continue to implement the ETB-7 gate-in arrangement. From August 26, 2026, YANTIAN will introduce limits on the acceptance of export laden containers on shipping services, based on vessel operation plans and the actual capacity of the container yard:

Export laden containers will be accepted by shipping line and service within specified quotas, with the quota set at 120% of the baseline loading volume.

Once the cumulative container receival for a service reaches the applicable quota, acceptance of export laden containers for that service will be suspended.

For vessels subject to the new arrangements, the ETB will be no earlier than September 3, 2026.

When the container receival for a service reaches or exceeds the applicable quota, customers and drivers attempting to make an appointment to return laden containers through 156yt will see the following system notification. Please take note of this in advance and plan your container returns accordingly.

Every Effort to Accelerate Terminal Operations and Yard Turnover

YANTIAN fully understands that these arrangements may cause inconvenience to our customers. During this challenging period, we are making every effort to expedite terminal operations and accelerate yard turnover, while maintaining close communication with relevant government authorities, shipping lines, and industry associations to work together to alleviate the current operational pressure as soon as possible.

YANTIAN will continue to closely monitor actual yard conditions and dynamically adjust the arrangements as necessary, with a comprehensive review to be conducted by the end of September.

Full Deployment of Equipment and Gate Lanes to Ensure Smooth Traffic Flow

At the terminal, all available equipment resources have been fully deployed, and all Gate A/B lanes are open to facilitate truck traffic. We are also working closely with the traffic police to help maintain traffic order outside the terminal and ensure the smooth movement of tractors in and out of the port area.
