On 11 April, YICT welcomed the commencement of the North Europe 6 (NE6) Service jointly launched by COSCO, Hanjin Shipping and Yang Ming. The new EU service consists of ten vessels with carrying capacities mainly ranging from 8,586 TEU to 9,954 TEU. Especially, the 11,000-TEU "Hanjin Netherlands" which made the inaugural call is one of the largest container vessels Hanjin Shipping puts into commission this year. The port rotation is as follows: Gwangyang, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian, Suez Canal, Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Suez Canal and Singapore.
