On 3 January 2009, YICT welcomed its first new service of 2009, the US West Coast-Asia-Europe service (UAEW) operated by Evergreen. UAEW is one of Evergreen's two new services covering Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent to better meet new market trends and enhance its operational effectiveness.
A total of 13 vessels, each with 6,000-TEU plus capacity, have been deployed as part of UAEW. The service calls at Yantian every Sunday and then departs for Europe following a port rotation of Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Thamesport and Zeebrugge.
YICT now operates 80 weekly services covering the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia. This, combined with domestic services, enables YICT to provide its clients with more comprehensive logistics services.
