MSC Launches Two European Services at YICT

On 22 March 2007, YICT welcomed the commencement of MSC's European service, the Lion Service Westbound (MLWB). The MLWB calls at YICT every Wednesday, with nine 8,400-TEU container vessels deployed to the line-haul route, which includes a port rotation of Singapore, Chiwan, Busan, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Valencia, Le Havre, Hamburg, Antwerp, Beirut, Jeddah, Port Klang and Singapore.

Another MSC's European services, the Phoenix (MPHX) Service, will launch at YICT on 25 March 2007. With six 6,700-TEU vessels deployed to the route, the  service calls at Yantian every Friday and follows a port rotation of Jeddah, Colombo, Singapore, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Nansha, Chiwan, Singapore, Beirut, Piraeus and Jeddah.

To cope with the increasing shipping demands in South China and boost its shipping capacity, MSC has readjusted a number of its services calling at Yantian since late March.
