On 15 December 2006, YICT announced the successful completion of the "Challenge 500" programme, which enabled YICT's terminal operating systems to record 500 days of unimpeded service. This unparalleled achievement is the first of its kind in China and highlights the innovativeness of YICT's IT systems.
This has been the second time in which YICT and HP China have successfully collaborated over the last two years in developing a unified IT infrastructure management platform capable of supporting mission-critical business services in a dynamic business environment. YICT worked closely with HP China to implement HP's Business Continuity and Availability (BC&A) solutions as well as Mission Critical Partnership (MCP) services to support a high level of sustainable business availability, the result of which has enhanced the stability of YICT's terminal operations and supported its increase in productivity.
In 2002, YICT, with HP's help, accomplished the "Challenge 365" programme, which enabled its terminal operating systems to function non-stop for a period of 365 days.

For more than a decade, YICT has been developing into an important gateway for imports and exports in South China, during which time its terminal operations have increasingly become more sophisticated and dependent on IT systems. The high reliability, stability and efficiency of these applications play a crucial role in the company's ongoing development. Consequently, these IT systems must handle the growing business volumes and provide stable support for terminal operations.
In order to meet these challenges, YICT tapped on HP's expertise to develop a sophisticated array of adaptable IT infrastructure tools, capable of supporting YICT's long-term business needs. This included the development of a farsighted IT plan, the construction of an adaptable IT infrastructure and an IT operations mode.
