On 3 August 2005, MOL and Pacific International Lines (PIL) jointly launched a new South African and South American service CSW at Yantian. They have deployed 11 vessels in the service to provide customers with a regular shipping service.

CSW calls at Yantian every Tuesday with a rotation at Kobe, Yokohama, Nagoya, Busan, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Sao F. Dosul, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Singapore and Hong Kong.

With the soaring growth of cargo in South China, both MOL and PIL are optimistic about trading requirements among Far East Asia, South Africa and South America. They joined hands to open up the service to establish a shipping network, which will offer efficient shipment to the regions including South America, China, Southeast Asia, Australia and Africa.

PIL, a ship-owner in Singapore, commenced bulk cargo shipping services between Asia and South America in the 1980s. CSW is the first shipping service that PIL has opened at Yantian to replace its current slot charter shipment.
