On 10 April 2005, Evergreen launched a new U.S. West Coast service HTW at Yantian with an inaugural vessel, the "Ever Diamond", to meet the growing demand of South China economy. YICT now boasts a total of 62 weekly shipping services including 35 America services.
Evergreen has deployed four vessels with a shipping capacity of 4,211 TEU in HTW. The new service calls at Yantian every Saturday with a rotation of Kaoshiung, Yantian, Los Angeles and Oakland. With this fast and efficient service, it takes approx. 13 to 15 days to ship cargo from Yantian to Los Angeles.
