On 22 July 2004, Maersk Sealand launched a new Europe service AE7 at Yantian with an inaugural vessel "Kund Maersk".
Maersk Sealand has deployed eight 6000-6252 TEU vessels on the service. The new service calls at Yantian every Thursday with the rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Salalah, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Dunkerque, Suez Canal, Jeddah, Salalah, Tanjung Pelepas and Shanghai.
