On 1 June 2004, "Dagmar Maersk" made an inaugural call to YICT, commencing Maersk Sealand's new America service TP8.
Maersk Sealand has deployed five vessels on the service. The new service calls at Yantian every Tuesday with the rotation of Yokohama, Kobe, Yantian, Xiamen, Kwangyang, Los Angeles, Oakland and Tacoma.
