In April 2004, CKYH (COSCO, "K"Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin) launched two America services and one Europe service at Yantian. By the end of April, there were 53 weekly services calling at Yantian.
On 25 April, the Pendulum Express Service (PDE), launched by Hanjin and sharing slots with CKYH, called at Yantian. Its Eastbound, a US service (PDEE), calls at YICT every Sunday with a rotation of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Port Kelang, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle. Its westbound, a Europe service (PDEW), calls at Yantian every Tuesday with the rotation of Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Yantian, Port Kelang, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe and Le Havre. The original America service PSX launched by Hanjin has ceased to call at Yantian since the PDE service started.
On 10 April, Yang Ming's "YM Great" made an inaugural call at Yantian and commenced an America West Coast service named Pacific Southwest II (PSW2), whose slots are shared by CKYH. This new service calls at Yantian every Saturday and has a rotation of Hong Kong, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Los Angeles, Oakland, Keelung, Kaohsiung and Hong Kong.
