On 6 April, YICT was presented with a silk banner by COSCO Container Lines Co., Ltd. (COSCON) in recognition of YICT's efforts in handling the Zhen He collision.
On 25 February, COSCO's Zhen He had a collision while under way in open waters to YICT. Some containers fell into the waters; the hull tilted to one side with water flowing in; and the draft once reached as deep as 16 metres. Upon getting informed of the collision, YICT staff took immediate action to help the vessel berth and carried out relief work. Finally, the vessel was put out of risk and sent to the dockyard for repair. YICT's excellent performance won high praise from COSCON.
