Evergreen Launches AEM Service at Yantian

On 25 February 2008, "Ital Oriente", the first vessel in Evergreen's Asia-East Mediterranean (AEM) service, called at Yantian.

On 25 February 2008, YICT welcomed its first new shipping service since the Chinese New Year – the Asia-East Mediterranean (AEM) service of Evergreen Line. The new service will provide a direct route from China to the growing Eastern European and Eastern Mediterranean markets.

Seven 2,846-TEU vessels have been deployed to the AEM service, which calls at Yantian every Tuesday. The port rotation is as follows: Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Suez Canal, Haifa, Limassol, Piraeus, Istanbul, Port Said and Tanjung Pelepas.
