From 15 to 17 October 2012,the Seventh China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF) was held at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre.Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Transport of China and the Shenzhen Municipal Government,CIFL is the only state-level logistics and Transportation exhibition of China, ranking No. 1 in Asia,and No.2 of its kind in the world.Under the theme "Yantian Port,Excelling in Logistics",YICT introduced its competitive edge as a preferred port of call for mega-vessels,and presented its strengths in intermodal transportation and feeder services.
Over the past 19 years,YICT has become one of the largest single terminals in the world,and the preferred port of call for mega-vessels.In 2011,there were 108 vessels across the global container vessel fleet that boasted a capacity of 10,000 TEU or more,and all are calling at YICT.In addition,YICT has committed to offering intermodal and feeder services to better meet the growing demands of its customers.To date,it has container rail services reaching cargo catchment areas including Chongqing,Sichuan,Hubei,Hunan,Jiangxi,Yunnan and Guizhou,and it has expanded its feeder services to Zhongshan in the Pearl River Delta Region and Shantou in East Guangdong.
At the exhibition,freight forwarders,third party logistics providers,cargo owners,shipping lines,and governmental officials visited the booth of YICT to learn more about YICT's development and services.Patrick Lam,Managing Director of YICT,made a visit to the exhibition and was invited to participate in the "World Port Strategy Forum" and the Trans-Pacific Maritime Asia Conference.
