On 20 December 2012, the Shenzhen Customs Bonded Logistics Management Platform went into operation. With the launching of the platform, the bonded cargo of the export processing zones, bonded logistics parks and other customs-supervised areas that are imported or exported via YICT, can realise “One Declaration, One Inspection, One Release” . The platform has helped further streamline the clearance procedures and accelerate clearance efficiency.
Based on the platform, Shenzhen Customs is implementing a new clearance mode featuring “Customs and Port Interaction” and e-clearance for the cargo flowing to YICT from customs-supervised areas, such as export processing zones, and from bonded logistics zones, including Shenzhen Airport Bonded Logistics Centre. The companies no longer need to apply for trans-customs permissions after they have completed all the clearance procedures required by customs at the export processing zones. Consequently, the cargo can be loaded on the vessel for export once it arrives at YICT.
YICT is the first container terminal in Shenzhen to utilise this platform, with two in-gate lanes and one out-gate lane designated for a trial run.
