YICT Receives Maiden Call of Evergreen’s Largest Containership Thalassa Hellas

The 13800TEU Thalassa Hellas calls at Yantian

On 30 September 2013, YICT welcomed the inaugural call of the 13,800-TEU Thalassa Hellas, Evergreen’s largest ever container vessel.

The vessel, measuring 368 metres long and 51 metres wide, uses 10% less fuel compared with existing similar class of container vessels.

Thalassa Hellas is operating on Evergreen’s CEM loop, calling at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Felixstowe , Hamburg and Zeebrugge. During its maiden call at YICT,1612 containers were handled.
