Between 14 and 16 of October, 2013, the 8th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair (CILF) was held in Shenzhen. YICT joined the event under the theme “Preferred Port-of-Call for Mega-Vessels”, which highlights its service strengths such as its advantages in serving mega-vessels and the intermodal transportation services.
Looking across the global container vessel fleet, in 2012 there were 168 vessels with a carrying capacity of over 10,000 TEU, signaling the coming of mega-vessel era. With its deep-water berths, operational expertise and a commitment to service excellence, YICT is well-positioned for mega-vessel calls. From January to September this year, YICT has received a total of 7,102 vessel calls, including 677 mega-vessels.
Over the past years, YICT has extended its intermodal services network to Dongguan, Guangzhou, Shaoguan of Guangdong Province and inland cities and provinces such as Chongqing, Sichuan, Hunan, Yunnan, Jiangxi and Guizhou. With this service network, YICT is able to provide a more stable, safe and eco-friendly logistics alternative for local cargo owners.
The exhibition served as an ideal platform for YICT to introduce its services and the latest developments to shipping lines, cargo owners, freight forwarders, third party logistics advisors (3PLs), and governmental officials.
