In December, YICT received the Waterborne Transport Quality Project Award for its Expansion Project. The award is testament to the facility’s technological excellence and quality engineering.
The project comprises six berths, with a linear quay measuring 2.1 kilometres and a water depth alongside of 17.4 metres. Equipped with 27 dual-hoist quay cranes, these six berths are the only ones in South China capable of accommodating 200,000 DWT container vessels. The project further enhances YICT’s position as the preferred port-of-call for super mega-vessels.
This distinction, presented every two years, is China's highest accolade for Waterborne Transport construction.
