YICT organises a green initiative under the theme ‘Recycling Begins and Ends with You’ for its staff to exchange second-hand goods

On 19 September 2014, YICT organised a green initiative under the theme ‘Recycling Begins and Ends with You’ for its staff to exchange second-hand goods. There was an overwhelming response from the staff and over 1,000 items of goods had found new owners by the end of the event.

The second-hand market is part of the joint activities coordinated by the world’s leading port operators – Hutchison Port Holdings, DP World, SIPG and PSA International – which run under the common theme of ‘Recycling Begins and Ends with You’ and echo YICT’s green credentials. As a responsible corporate citizen, YICT has been promoting eco-friendly practices among its staff, both in the work environment and daily life, in an effort to create a green port.
