YANTIAN's New Gatehouse A Opens to Traffic

On 16 August 2018, YANTIAN held a ceremony to mark the opening of its brand new Gatehouse A. Du Ling, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Yantian District Committee, representatives from related government departments and Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YANTIAN attended the ceremony.
As part of the renovation of Mingzhu Road，the key component of Yantian District’s traffic improvement project of the port area of 2018, YANTIAN’s new Gatehouse A will officially open to traffic at 8 a.m. on 17 August.
After four months’ construction, the new Gatehouse A consists of a large parking lot for 90 tractors and 14 in-gate lanes, including a dedicated lane for oversized tractor. The new gatehouse has substantially improved YANTIAN's gatehouse operational efficiency and handling capacity, thus reducing traffic congestion of the port area.
Connecting to the Yanpai Expressway, the new gatehouse allows more tractor traffic to pass through. It is also part of the terminal’s new initiatives for the coming peak season for cargo transportation and the complex international trade situation.
