On 3 September 2020, the 4th Shenzhen International Brand Week (Yantian District) with the theme “Smart Shipping, Embrace the Future” was held at YANTIAN. Patrick Lam, Managing Director of YANTIAN, attended the event and welcomed the delegates.
The event was co-hosted by the Yantian District Government and Federation of Shenzhen Industries. Focused on topics such as smart ports and smart logistics, guests from the shipping industry and related enterprises have extended proactive discussion on how to better apply advanced technologies like big data, Internet of Things, cloud computing and 5G to the shipping industry to promote the high-quality development of Yantian Port.
In August, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone celebrated its 40th Anniversary. As a key port of Shenzhen, YANTIAN set a new record in monthly throughput, exceeding 1.42 million TEU, which is also a world record for a port run by a single operator. This is a landmark event for the city.
Started with ambitious vision, building a smart, green and world-class port has always been the pursuit of YANTIAN. Working with partners in various fields, we have actively promoted the development of a smart port to explore the utilisation of the latest technologies and provision of smart and efficient terminal services for customers. Meanwhile, YANTIAN is committed to establishing itself as an international shipping hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area), thus making continuous contribution to the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area, to the development of Shenzhen as the Pilot Demonstration Zone and its effort to turn itself as a global maritime center.
