On 25 September 2021, the 16th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair (CILF) was successfully concluded. Compared with previous ones, this year's fair has reached a record high in terms of both the event scale and number of exhibitors. As a key gateway for import and export in South China, YANTIAN participates in CILF every year. This year, YANTIAN showcased its vision of “Developing a New International Hub Port Landscape”, and shared with customers the latest developments as well as innovative logistics solutions in the industry.

Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of YANTIAN, attended the fair and delivered a speech at the customer communication session. He said, "Thanks to the cooperation and efforts of all parties, YANTIAN has grown against the trend under the COVID-19. The throughput in August doubled from June to 1.25 million TEU, which resumed to the level before the pandemic, and is expected to continue to grow. In August this year, the world's largest container vessel “Ever Ace” made its maiden call to YANTIAN, and our port is her only port of call in South China. We also broke the record for single vessel operation in two days in a row, setting new records for single vessel productivity in South China and the country! Recently, in order to meet the demand of shipping lines and cargo owners for peak time shipment before the National Day holidays and to truly “concern what customers concern”, YANTIAN relaxed the time for the in-gate of export laden containers to ETB-10 days, regardless of the heavy pressure posed by huge volume of cargo. As an important port in Shenzhen, YANTIAN will continue taking advantage of its natural deep-water berths and favourable geographical location to seize opportunities brought by the Greater Bay Area and the dual-circulation development paradigm, creating a new international hub port landscape and contributing to the stability and smooth flow of the foreign trade industry chain and the global supply chain."
