Although the current international trade is full of uncertainty, the global logistics industry still put much of the focus on coping with the small peak before the National Holiday. In order to meet the pre-National Day production arrangement and shipment plan of our clients, YANTIAN has made several service updates including relaxing ETB booking policy, increasing the gate-in quota for export laden containers and optimising its storage allocation. As the leading gateway serving import and export container traffic in South China, YANTIAN will embrace the fast-changing international environment and work closely with our clients to overcome any difficulty encountered.
1、Estimated Time of Berthing relaxed to ETB-10
To cater to the demand of carriers and cargo owners for early shipment ahead of the Holiday, YANTIAN has relaxed its normal ETB-7 policy to ETB-10 (within 10 days before the estimated date of berthing). Clients may contact shipping lines for detailed information.
This temporary modification allows cargo owners to arrange the delivery schedule of factories and warehouses at their convenience. It helps our clients deliver the laden export containers to YANTIAN during this period, leaving them an assuring National-Day Holiday with no further concerns.
P.S. The policy will return to ETB-7 (within 7 days before the estimated date of berthing) starting from October 1st.
2、Gate-In Quota for Laden Export Containers Increases to 14,000 Containers per Day
To serve the pre-Holiday shipping demands and help our clients deliver goods with convenience, efficiency and certainty, YANTIAN has decided to increase its daily gate-in quota for laden export containers to 14,000 containers per day. We kindly ask truck drivers to arrive at the port as scheduled to ensure the orderly arrival of trucks. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
3、Actively Optimising the Container Yard Storage Plan,Extending Our Port Services via In-Land Ports and Port Alliances
The aforementioned updates will inevitably lead to an increased container density and mounting pressure on our yard storage capacity. However, to reassure our clients, YANTIAN has formed contingency plans in advance and made full use of the storage resources in the surrounding area, such as railway container yards, in-land ports and port-alliance yards. Such resources aim to share some of the storage pressure, so that YANTIAN may take in a maximum volume of pre-holiday delivery.
YANTIAN is connected to the national railway network via Pingyan Railway. Through inland ports, it extends its port functions both across Guangdong Province (Guangzhou, Dongguan, Jiangmen, Foshan, Shaoguan, Qingyuan and Heyuan) and well into inland areas (Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Chongqing), offering customers integrated intermodal logistics solutions from the inland to Yantian Port. YANTIAN has also been developing its feeder service network across the Pearl River Delta, services including YANTIAN-Huizhou Port Alliance and YANTIAN-Dongguan Port Alliance. Such connectivity allows enterprises to choose the logistical solutions that best suits their interest and enjoy quality supply-chain services. By allowing empty containers to be picked up at local yards, YANTIAN provides our clients with the utmost convenience and a seamless connection between the factories and the port.
As the world-class hub port situated in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), YANTIAN has to catch up with the complex and ever-changing external environment, both domestically and globally. Its facilities and management capability will be equally challenged at this special period of time. YANTIAN will join hands with all parties of interest, secure a fluid and stable GBA supply chain and make its own contribution to the production and delivery of thousands of enterprises around the Holiday.
YANTIAN wish you a Happy National Day!
