On the afternoon of February 10, the 2023 Customer Appreciation Party of Shenzhen Pingyan Multimodal Company Limited (PML), which was attended by over 40 representatives of its partners, was held at YICT Building.

Peng Zhihong, Logistics Director of YANTIAN, warmly welcomed all the guests. This year marks the 30th anniversary of YANTIAN. On behalf of YANTIAN and PML, he thanked all the customers for their unfailing support and cooperation over the years, and for witnessing the growth of YANTIAN and PML together.

Bucking the trend for new records and achievements 

At the event, representatives of PML shared the performance of the company with over the past three years with the customers. Despite the uncertainty of the international trade landscape and the challenges brought by the pandemic, we have worked closely together to establish new inland ports, launched more services, explore new cargo sources, and drive the rapid rise of intermodal traffic, maintaining double-digit growth every year, especially in 2022 when the total throughput reached a record high. Up to now, PML has opened 11 inland ports and 28 intermodal services, covering the Greater Bay Area, Southwest and Central China.

Such an impressive performance was achieved thanks to the long-term trust and support of the customers. Therefore, we were honoured to award our customers with Contribution Award (Premier Contribution Award, Outstanding Contribution Award, Excellent Contribution Award, Cargo Volume Contribution Award), Long-term Cooperation Award, and Best Potential Award.

A promising future

Challenges are still there for international trade sector in 2023. Harnessing on its strength, PML will enhance its cooperation with China Railway Guangzhou and shipping lines to launch more services, handle more cargo types, and establish new inland ports, continuously improving the efficiency, quality, and scope of its services. 

At present, the construction of the new railroad of Pingyan Railway and YANTIAN East Port has started. As planned, the new railroad will be directly connected to Phases I, II, III & Expansion projects and the East Port, with a long-term capacity of about 3.6 million TEU, offering more efficient services to customers.

Looking ahead, YANTIAN will continue to work together with all parties involved to improve the networks of intermodal service and inland ports, allowing more enterprises to enjoy green and efficient channels to ship their cargoes to the rest of the world, contributing to China's peak carbon emission and carbon neutrality targets, and securing the supply chain and the industry chain.
