Having achieved significant success in the first half of the year, we approach the second half with strong confidence. Despite the ongoing complexity and volatility of the international landscape, China's international trade continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience and vitality. In July, YANTIAN's multimodal transport saw many highlights in rail and feeder operations.
PART 01: The 15th inland port! Huaihua Inland Port successfully unveiled!
On July 31, the unveiling ceremony for YANTIAN Inland Port (Huaihua) and the YANTIAN Rail-Sea Service Promotion Event were successfully held.
The event brought together representatives from the Huaihua Municipal Government, the Commerce Bureau, the Changsha Railway Logistics Center, Shenzhen Port Group, YANTIAN, as well as shipping companies, third-party logistics providers, and cargo owners from Southwest China, East China, and the Greater Bay Area. With robust support and promotion from governments of the two places, YANTIAN, in collaboration with Huaihua International Land Port, has further facilitated a convenient and eco-friendly channel for Hunan’s cargoes to go global.

Huaihua, a major city in Hunan Province, specialises in industries such as fruit production, camellia oleifera, and other oil products, while also focusing on critical sectors like trade logistics, new energy and equipment, and electronic components and materials. Leveraging its international land port advantages, Huaihua is expanding its global presence, promoting high-quality agricultural products like specialty fruits to international markets, and aiming to become the "Fruit Capital" of Hunan and beyond.
Huaihua is YANTIAN’s 15th inland port and the fifth in Hunan, following Liling, Yueyang, Chenzhou, and Yongzhou. With direct railway access to the port, YANTIAN’s rail-sea service has experienced consistent double-digit growth over the past five years, from 2019 to 2023, reaching an unprecedented peak in 2023.
PART 02: YANTIAN- Shunde Port Alliance Promotion Event was a resounding success
On July 25, aiming at fostering mutual prosperity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen YANTIAN-Foshan Shunde Port Alliance Promotion Event was successfully concluded. The successful launch of this port alliance owes much to the robust support from government officials, customs, and port supervisory authorities. Around 130 representatives attended, including officials from the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, customs and port supervisory authorities, Shenzhen Transport Bureau, Shenzhen Port Group, as well as shipping companies, third-party logistics providers, and cargo owners from Southwest China, East China, and the Greater Bay Area.
Speeches were delivered by Lin Min, level-four researcher from the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Neville Lam, Commercial Director of Commercial Department of YANTIAN, and Bin Li, General Manager of Midea International Logistics Platform. Each speaker conveyed their best wishes and high expectations for a prosperous partnership.

After the speeches, Zhang Shucheng, Senior Manager of Commercial Department of YANTIAN, provided a comprehensive overview of how this innovative port alliance model will benefit customers. He actively engaged with the attendees, addressing their queries. By leveraging Internet technology, the new port alliance enables the sharing of port codes with YANTIAN, facilitating information interconnectivity and mutual customs supervision recognition between ports. This integration extends YANTIAN's international hub functions directly to the enterprises' "doorsteps", allowing for "one-time declaration, inspection, and release" of export cargoes. This approach greatly enhances port clearance efficiency and reduces logistics costs for export enterprises.
Shunde is a leading manufacturing hub in China, renowned for its expertise in home appliances, furniture, machinery, and electronic information. It stands out as a major production centre for air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and microwave ovens, housing numerous well-known companies. The furniture, machinery manufacturing, and electronic information sectors in Shunde also display significant competitive strengths.
Through the multimodal transport model, cargoes in and around Shunde can seamlessly connect to YANTIAN's premier shipping services. These services are further supported by YANTIAN's comprehensive logistics network, ensuring a smooth and convenient global reach.
As of today, YANTIAN has established 15 inland ports, 31 rail-sea services, 13 port alliances, and 17 feeder services, extending coverage across the Greater Bay Area, Southwest China, and Central China.
YANTIAN remains dedicated to advancing national development strategies by continually enhancing connectivity with more river ports, providing customers with more efficient and convenient logistics services, fostering the growth of a higher-level shipping hub and ensuring the stability and smooth operation of industrial and supply chains.
