On 24 May 2007, YICT welcomed a new South Africa service, the Far East-Africa Express (FAX) Service, jointly operated by COSCO and Evergreen. Five of Evergreen's vessels and three COSCO vessels, each with a shipping capacity of 3,400 TEU, have been deployed to the service. Presently, YICT has two weekly shipping services to South Africa.
To meet the growing shipping demand, the jointly operated Far East-South America and Far East-South Africa Express services of Evergreen and COSCO, have both been enhanced to the current East Coast of South America (ESA) and FAX services respectively. The FAX service has been extended to cover South China and East China, calls at Yantian every Thursday, and follows a port rotation of Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Durban and Cape Town.
To cope with the growing global trade volume and the upcoming peak shipping season, YICT consistently delivers high-quality services featuring a wide range of options available to its customers.
