On 29 October, 2006 Hasbro Shenzhen Charity Badminton Tournament ended with YICT as the top winner. With their excellent play, superb technical skills and tactics, the YICT squad fought their way into four finals and finally took three golds in the men's singles, women's singles and mixed doubles, together with a silver in the men's doubles. Most importantly, YICT won the Team Title, the most prestigious honour of this match.
This competition was organised by the Hasbro Far East Charity Program 2006 Working Committee. It aimed to raise funds for children who live in adversity and destitution. Over ten companies including YICT took part in this competition.
As one of the sponsors of the competition, YICT not only provided the organising panel with relevant material support, but also donated a sum of HK$15,000 to help more children in need of relief.
After the competition, the organiser held the medal awards ceremony. Cutis Chan, Head of YICT's Information Services, received from Joel Spevack, Chairman of Hasbro Far East Ltd, the Team Title cup, which honours the best in overall performance of the teams that took part in the match.
