On 20 September 2006, YICT was rated Shenzhen's "Top Grade Company in both Usage of Special Equipment and Safety Management". This was the first time that the Shenzhen Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision (the bureau) had reviewed and appraised 50 large enterprises in Shenzhen in terms of the above-mentioned two fields according to the "Requirements on and Appraisal of Usage of Special Equipment and Safety Management". YICT obtained the highest score achieving 986 marks out of a possible 1000 marks.
The assessment was led by Mr. Zeng Zifeng, Chief Engineer of the Shenzhen Institute of Special Equipment Inspection and Test, together with five related experts assigned by the Yantian branch of the Bureau.
