On 4 March 2006, Yantian welcomed the inaugural call of a new CKYH European service Asia/Mediterranean (AMS2). Seven 3,500-TEU vessels, five operated by "K" Line have been deployed to the service, which includes a port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Jeddah, Port Said, Genova, Fos, Valencia, Port Said, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
As of 4 March, Yantian handles twenty two European services of which four are operated by CKYH, who respectively berth at YICT every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
