On 23 February 2006, Grand Alliance (GA) launched a new European service called EU2 to replace their previous European service EU4, with a new rotation of Shekou, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Suez Canal, Le Havre, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp and Southampton. GA has deployed seven vessels, each with a shipping capacity of 6,000 TEU, in the EU2.
