NYK and HSD Launched a new South America Service NGX at Yantian

On 17 June 2005, NYK's "Iwashiro" made an inaugural call at YICT to commence a new shipping service "New Good Hope Express Service" (NGX). This new South America service is jointly operated by NYK and Hamburg Sud (HSD) to deal with ever-increasing trading among Asia, South Africa and the east coast of South America.

With 10 container vessels deployed by NYK and HSD in the service, the NGX calls at YICT every Saturday. The port rotation of this 70-day round trip is Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Yantian, Laem Chabang, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Santos, Sepetiba, Singapore and Hong Kong.
