Yantian’s Berth #16 Welcomes the Arrival of its First 200,000-DWT Vessel

On 20 September 2017, the 200,000-DWT container vessel CSCL ARCTIC OCEAN arrived at Yantian’s Berth #16. Berth#16, with a quay length of 886 metres and water depth alongside of 17.6 metres, has been officially approved by the Transport Commission of Shenzhen Municipality to accommodate 200,000-DWT container vessels. CSCL ARCTIC OCEAN is the first 200,000-DWT container vessel which has called at Berth #16. Yantian is now able to handle four 200,000-DWT container vessels simultaneously, which has further enhanced its ability to serve mega vessels.
