Award Ceremony of Yantian District Skills Competition Held at YANTIAN

On 5 December 2018, the award ceremony of Yantian District Skills Competition was held at YANTIAN. Senior officers from Yantian District, and Patrick Lam, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports Yantian, attended the event and presented awards to the winners.
This ceremony was to honour winners of Yantian District Port Crane Maintenance Skills Competition 2018. Employees of YANTIAN won First, Second and Third Prizes, with some being awarded as “Excellent Technicians of Yantian District”.
Recently, YANTIAN employees have won a number of accolades in a variety of competition.
In October, in the “Vocational Skills Competition for Cargo Truck Drivers of National Transportation Sector”, YANTIAN employee Li Zhankang, representing Guangdong Province in the national finals, won the third prize. He was awarded the titles of “Excellent Technician of the Transport Sector of Guangdong Province” and “National Excellent Technician of the Transport Sector”.
On 28 November, in the PowerPoint Making Competition of the Skills Competition of 2018 hosted by Yantian Port Group Trade Union Confederation, the three teams from YANTIAN stood out and won the first prize, the second prize and the best style award respectively.
From 21 to 28 November, YANTIAN held “2018 Container Lashing Competition of YANTIAN”, attracting 60 contract workers in 20 teams from five contractors. The event helped improve the skills of its workforce, raise safety awareness and enhance operational efficiency and safety.
YANTIAN has been given great prominence to people development. With a commitment to nurturing industry expertise, it has been making an important contribution to the economic and technological development of Shenzhen and the region.
