On 20 June, YICT and the Logistics Office of Chongqing Municipal Government jointly held a promotion seminar in Chongqing for the Chongqing-Shenzhen Intermodal Service.

On 7 May, YICT received the first call of the 13,500-TEU UMM SALAL. As the first of nine 13,500-TEU vessels UASC has on order, the vessel is deployed to the French Asia Line 2 (FAL2) service, which is jointly operated by UASC, CMA CGM, China Shipping and Evergreen.
On 1 May 2011, YICT welcomed the first call of the 10,000-TEU ZIM Antwerp. As the largest vessel from ZIM having called at Yantian, the ZIM Antwerp is deployed to a new Asia Europe Express Service
On 29 April 2011, YICT held a group rope-skipping competition to celebrate the upcoming May Day and welcome the Shenzhen Universiade in August 2011.
On 29 April 2011, Jiang Yansheng, Assistant Managing Director of YICT, was conferred the "Medal of Guangdong Provincial Model Worker" by the Federation of Trade Unions of Guangdong.
