Over the past year, YANTIAN has shown its ambition to compete in the "blue ocean" of cross-border e-commerce. Meanwhile, Yantian District has introduced various supporting policies. Hence, the cross-border e-commerce sector made significant progress in 2022.
On March 13, through the cross-border feeder between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, YANTIAN launched the Shenzhen-Hong Kong "9610 (Business To Customer)" service.
On June 2, YANTIAN obtained the qualification to take the lead in implementing Safety Requirements for Port Operations Part 3: Dangerous Goods Containers, helping cross-border e-commerce operators ship their 3C products to the rest of the world.
On June 17, Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association (SZCBEA) awarded YANTIAN as the "Honorary President Organization of SZCBEA Yantian Branch"
On June 18, YANTIAN was awarded as "Excellent Cross-border E-Commerce Logistics Service Provider".
On July 5, the Yantian Branch of SZCBEA was officially inaugurated and based in YICT Building.
On August 29, Yantian District People's Government and SZCBEA signed strategic cooperation framework agreements on building a cross-border e-commerce logistics centre.
On October 1, YANTIAN started to provide testing and re-exporting services in the MCC warehouse for cross-border e-commerce sellers.
On October 11, Mr. Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of YANTIAN, was entitled "Senior Advisor of the Logistics Committee" and enlisted in the Expert List of SZCBEA Standardization Committee.
On October 24, the Support Measures for Accelerating the Quality Development of Cross-border E-commerce Industry in Yantian District was officially issued, introducing a total of 17 preferential policies to build a robust industry ecosystem for cross-border e-commerce.
On November 7, Yantian District inaugurated the Cross-Border E-Commerce Inspection Centre and Talent Training Centre.
On December 8, Yantian Port cross-border E-commerce Operation Centre and Yantian Integrated Bonded Area Phase II were officially opened.
01 Advanced logistics services for cross-border e-commerce
As of 2022, YANTIAN has 14 express and dedicated services to meet the requirements for timeliness and extensive network of express services from cross-border e-commerce enterprises. At the same time, YANTIAN offers a variety of multimodal logistics solutions, such as rails and feeders, to save costs and improve efficiencies for cross-border e-commerce customers in South China.
02 Shenzhen, a "fertile ground" for cross-border e-commerce in South China
YANTIAN is an active player in the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce in Shenzhen. We have organized events like workshops to discuss how to introduce high-quality logistics service providers and develop cross-border e-commerce talent; seminars on cross-border e-commerce tax process to assist companies in clearing obstacles of tax issues; and exchange activities on development trends of cross-border e-commerce and 3PLs logistics technologies aiming to improve internal management and external resource coordination and make the supply chain more visualized and digital.
As a key gateway in South China, YANTIAN will continue to develop more emerging market services, upgrade logistics services, and drive industrial digital transformation to maintain YANTIAN's position as a preferred port for cross-border e-commerce in South China. We will vigorously assist Yantian District in establishing a cross-border e-commerce logistics centre, offer ideas and suggestions to the industry, respond to the market demand to assure the supply chain for cross-border e-commerce, making greater contributions to the high-quality development of China's international trade.
