With over 100,000 Participants! YANTIAN Wholeheartedly Supports the Global Cross-border E-commerce Festival Held in Shenzhen

According to data released by Shenzhen Customs, Shenzhen's total import and export reached CNY1.81 trillion in the first five months of this year, solidifying its status as the leading city in import and export activities in the Chinese mainland. Cross-border e-commerce and other innovative formats have emerged as key drivers of growth in international trade.

From June 15 to 17, the 7th Global Cross-border E-commerce Festival was held with great success, attracting participation from over 2,000 domestic and international companies. Over the three-day event, it welcomed more than 103,000 attendees and garnered 1.5 million views through online live streaming. The event also saw the participation of numerous professional cross-border e-commerce seller groups from both domestic and international markets.

Banquet address
During the evening banquet on June 14, Lawrence Shum, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports YANTIAN, delivered a speech outlining YANTIAN's journey and future vision in the cross-border e-commerce sector. He engaged in cordial discussions with Winnie Wang, Executive Chairperson of SZCBEA, secretaries-general from various global branches, executives of enterprises, and diplomats from multiple countries.

Opening ceremony
On June 15, the 7th Global Cross-border E-commerce Festival officially commenced. Diplomats, including H.E. Khalil Ur Rahman Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, esteemed guests like Zong Fangyu, Director of the Department of External Economic Research at the Development Research Center of the State Council, and Li Zhong, CPC Secretary of Yantian District, Shenzhen, alongside leaders from several provinces and cities, gathered to witness the inauguration.

Later that afternoon, a special event titled "Salute to 100 Practitioners in Cross-border E-commerce" was launched in a grand manner. Lawrence Shum, representing the sole port enterprise selected, stood alongside Winnie Wang, Xie Zhuoheng, Logistics Secretary-General of SZCBEA, and other prominent industry figures who have been actively fostering the robust and sustainable growth of cross-border e-commerce.

This year commemorates the 10th anniversary of the SZCBEA, and YANTIAN boasts a longstanding partnership with the association:

▶Since September 2020, YANTIAN has served as an executive director of the SZCBEA.

▶In June 2022, the SZCBEA Yantian Branch was established, and YANTIAN was entitled as the "Honorary President Organization of SZCBEA Yantian Branch".

▶In 2022, Lawrence Shum was entitled "Senior Advisor of the Logistics Committee" by the SZCBEA and enlisted in the Expert List of SZCBEA Standardization Committee.

▶In August 2023, at the 2023 Global Cross-border E-commerce Festival, YANTIAN was honored with the "Role Model Power" award and the "Going Global Influence" award.

The cross-border e-commerce sector is advancing rapidly, with industry leaders seizing opportunities and collaborating to achieve remarkable success.
