On 6 December 2007, the Far East Europe Express (FEX) of the CKYH alliance – composed of COSCO Shipping, "K" Line, Yang Ming Marine Transport and Hanjin Shipping - called at YICT for the first time.

FEX is just one of CKYH's recent upgrades to its Asia-Northern Europe services that involve Yantian. The alliance has been revamping old services and establishing new ones to improve its competitiveness in the two regions.

A total of eight 6,500 TEU vessels have been deployed to the FEX service, which calls on YICT every Thursday. The port rotation is as follows: Tianjin (Xingang), Gwangyang, Busan, Yantian, Singapore, Suez Canal, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Suez Canal, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Tianjin (Xingang).
