On 17 November 2003, KMTC launched its third Asian service, Japan/China/Thailand (JCT). The addition of the JCT service brings the number of Asian services calling at YICT to eight .
The pendulum-styled JCT service has the southbound rotation of Busan, Ulsan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok and Laem Chabang. The northbound rotation is Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Ulsan, Tomakomai, Muroran, Ishikari and Niigata. The southbound and northbound services call at Yantian every Monday and Saturday respectively. KMTC has deployed five vessels running this service. Making an inaugural call at Yantian, its container vessel " BRIGHT GOLD " is 144.83 metres long with a capacity of 848 TEU.
