YICT Recognises its "Top Ten Volunteers"

In early 2009, YICT selected its top ten volunteers for 2008. As of April 2009, there are 170 registered volunteers in YICT’s Volunteer Group, which have thus far held 67 activities, involving a total of 798 participants and an accumulative service time of up to 3,624 hours.

Below are a few words by three of the top ten volunteers:

"Out of all the volunteer activities in which I've participated, the one that immediately springs to my mind was our relief efforts at the railway station where we helped many passengers stranded from the worst ever snowstorm in China over the past 50 years. It was satisfying to be one of the volunteers who were able to offer help to these passengers. I think this is the joy of being a volunteer." —Chen Wen

"I have been participating in the company's volunteer activities since its first. We were there to clean up Dameisha Beach, repair electrical household appliances much needed by the community and visit the children at the Children’s Welfare Institute. I will continue to lend a helping hand to those in need." —Li Xiangli

"As Vice Secretary of the Volunteer Group, I have seen the efforts and contributions that all our members have made. Our group is growing stronger and stronger, and I hope more and more staff will come and join us." —Chen Xinguang
