On 10 March 2007, YICT welcomed the new extended version of Maersk's Asia – Middle East network, the FM5 Service, which can significantly improve the transit time from China to Aqaba in Jordan by up to seven days.
On 9 February 2007, YICT celebrated with Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine and Yantian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine in becoming the first container terminal in Mainland China to fully automate their container sterilisation process
On 8 February 2007, YICT received the award of “Most Admired Logistics and Supply Chain Company” from Shenzhen’s Industry and Commerce at the “Four Innovation Awards for Logistics and Supply Chain”.
On 31 January 2007, YICT received three dual-hoist tandem-lift quay cranes, the first of eight dual-hoist tandem-lift quay cranes and mobile equipment in new container terminal equipment expected before the end of April.
On 23 January 2007, YICT welcomed the commencement of the MSC Silk East Bound (MSEB) Service, with the vessel call of the "MSC Chicago".
On 22 January 2007, YICT was presented with an Environmental Protection Certificate from the Shenzhen Pengcheng Waste Reduction Steering Committee for its conscientious efforts to reduce waste and protect the environment.
On 17 January 2007, YICT welcomed its first new European Service of the year, Asia-Europe Loop 1 (AES1) Service, which is operated by the CKYH Alliance with the Maiden Vessel call of the 8,200-TEU "YM Ultimate".
On 19 December 2006, YICT based on its tax paying indices and commendable corporate social responsibility was awarded the "National Excellent Taxpaying and Export Performance Enterprise with Foreign Investment 2005"
On 15 December 2006, YICT announced the successful completion of the "Challenge 500" programme, which enabled YICT's terminal operating systems to record 500 days of unimpeded service.
On 14 December 2006, YICT welcomed "Estelle Maersk", another largest container vessel in the world, in succession to her sister "Emma Maersk", which called at YICT only two months ago.
