During April, YICT received another two new feeder services following the launch of the Zhanjiang-Yantian service.
On 28 April 2017, YICT employee Huang Xing was conferred the Labour Day Medal of Merit of Guangdong Province.
On 20 April 2017, YICT hosted a communication session for the region’s major importers. More than 200 guests attended the event.
On 11 April 2017, YICT welcomed the first feeder of the Zhanjiang-Yantian Service. This marked the launch of the second service connecting Yantian and Southwest China, following the first feeder service between Yantian and Qinzhou in Guangxi province.
On 15 April 2017, the world’s largest container vessel in service, MOL Triumph, called at YICT on her maiden voyage. With a capacity of 20,170 TEU, MOL Triumph is the world’s first 20,000 TEU-class container vessel to come on stream.
On 29 March 2017, China Ports and Harbours Association (CPHA) held its annual general meeting and presented a number of awards to outstanding terminal operators. YICT received five prestigious awards for its performance in 2016.
On 25 March 2017, an unveiling ceremony was held to celebrate the opening of YICT’s inland port located in Nankang District, Ganzhou City of Jiangxi province.
On 10 March 2017, YICT held a Communication Session- Feeder Operation for around 120 attendees, including representatives of shipping lines, 3PLs and feeder companies.
On 9 March 2017, Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) Limited hosted a customer forum to promote its new shipping services and products at YICT.
On 24 February 2017, a conference promoting Yantian as a Demonstrative Port of International Ecological Safety was held at YICT.
On 20 February 2017, YICT took delivery of two new quay cranes to serve its Berth 4.
On 15 February 2017, the first container train of the new intermodal service between Yantian and Nanchang set off from Nantang station bound for YICT.
On 20 January 2017, YICT staff representatives and volunteers visited the Yantian District Welfare Centre to deliver Lunar New Year greetings to the elderly residents.
On 13 January 2017, a group of Harvard Business School MBA students visited YICT.
On 5 January, five staff members and two external contractor workers of YICT were presented with the certificate of National Excellent Technicians of the Transport Sector in the award ceremony held in Shenzhen.
